HOLIDAYBACH STANDARD BOOKING TERMS

BOOKINGS

You can book by submitting your details and preferred dates via the 'Availability Query Form' on the 'Costs & Contact info' page included in this website, email us at inquiry@holidaybach.co.nz, or fax us on 09 4106331, or just call us on 09 4106887 (evenings).

ARRIVE / DEPART

The Bach will be available anytime after Midday on your arrival day and must be vacated before Midday on your last day if we have other people arriving. If not we will agree a suitable departure time when we finalise payment and arrange the key.

DEPOSIT

Bookings will be held for a maximum of 7 days only. Your booking is only confirmed once we have received the deposit. The deposit will be 30% of the total rent, or $80 (whichever is greater).  If the holiday booking is made within 14 days of the start date the full amount is required at time of booking for confirmation.

FULL PAYMENT

The full amount owing for your holiday is due 14 days prior to the booking start date. If we have not received full payment 14 days prior to the start of the rental period, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and/or to let the Bach to someone else. You will forfeit the deposit paid.

PETS ARE WELCOME    

A maximum of 2 pets are welcome, however only with our approval at the time of booking. The Bach is not fully fenced so you would need to bring a lead or chain to keep the pet (or pets) within the appropriate boundaries. We would ask that you bring their bedding with them, (pets do not get to sleep on a bed - or a couch) and we ask that you clean up everything after them. 

LINEN / SMOKING / OCCUPANCY

Linen is not provided, but duvets, blankets and pillows are. 
Please bring your own sheets, pillowslips, towels, tea towels, and beach towels. 
Smoking is not permitted inside the Bach.  
The maximum occupancy allowed is 10 people (regardless of age). Any additional people will need to be discussed and approved at time of booking and may incur additional charges. 

CHANGES / CANCELLATION

Changes to your booking that increase the total rental period will be made at no cost. Changes that shorten the total rental period will incur a $30 admin fee.

Any cancellations made, for any reason, will forfeit any monies paid at time of cancellation - unless we are able to re-let the Bach.
If we are able to re-let the Bach all monies recovered will be refunded - less a $30 admin fee.

However, if a booking is cancelled but another one immediately made, the balance of any monies paid (less $30 admin fee) may be transferred to the new booking dates. A further deposit (minimum 50% of total cost) will be required.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES

You're responsible for the Bach during your stay.  We expect you to take all reasonable care of the Bach and at the end of your holiday to leave the Bach clean and tidy.  This includes cleaning all utensils and equipment, returning of all furniture and appliances to where they were when you arrived and disposing of all rubbish.  

Please note that as the person making the booking - You are considered to be responsible for any and all people staying with you at the Bach - including any 3rd party invitees.  

You will be held legally responsible for all breakages and any damage to the Bach, it's facilities, or amenities that occur during your holiday. Please report any damage or breakage immediately

AVAILABILITY

We accept no responsibility should any portion of the Bach, its facilities and amenities become unavailable to you.  Should events arise beyond our control and render the Bach uninhabitable (i.e.. flood, fire etc.) then we may be forced to cancel the booking.  However, should such unusual circumstances arise we will endeavor to offer you an alternative rental period.  Where this is not possible we will refund in full all monies paid in respect of the cancelled booking. You will have no grounds for any further claims against us.

CLEANLINESS OF THE BACH

The general cleanliness of the Bach on your arrival is often  dependant on how the previous tenants left it at the end of their holiday. Whilst we make every reasonable effort to ensure the Bach is clean and hygienic this cannot be absolutely guaranteed.

Should the Bach be found to be in an unacceptable state of cleanliness upon your arrival please contact us immediately and we will make arrangements to remedy the situation as soon as practically possible.

YOUR RISK

Where additional amenities such as the kayaks, barbeque etc. are made available to you, the use of these items is entirely at your own risk.  We accept no responsibility for any injury or loss to you or your belongings.

PRIVACY      

All information we gather about you has been collected only for our general requirements. This information will not be shared with any 3rd party, however we may use it to email or post (definitely no telemarketing) any special offers relating to the future rental of the Bach (or any other holiday Bach we might own) only. You can choose not to stay on our mailing list if you prefer.
